CA06 Obama Caucus - A Letter from Lynn Hamilton

Dear Friends,
Thank you to all of the Progressive Democrats Sonoma County who came to the 6th Congressional District Obama Caucus in Santa Rosa yesterday. Your votes helped to elect several members of our progressive slate. In the 6th Congressional District we elected 1 woman , 2 males, and 1 male alternate.
Marlene Knox from Marin will be the woman delegate.
Lynn Hamilton-Sonoma and Chair of Progressive Democrats Sonoma County came in second!!!!

Congratulations to all of the Obama Delegates and especially to Norman Solomon and Greg Brockbank from PDA. 551 people attended the Obama caucus in Santa Rosa. The line went out the door, around the corner and snaked into the parking lot under the hot afternoon sun. Many people drove up from Marin County.
PDA members Brockbank, Solomon and Hamilton worked together and supported each other on a PDA slate. Lynn used her 30 second speech to pledge support for Obama and promote the issues in the Progressive Challenge!
This was a wonderful experience. Our caucus was very well organized. We had a chance to meet people from all over the region. The 30 second speeches helped to energize everyone. There were many young people and minorities running to be delegates for the first time. Hopefully we will be able to stay in touch with each other and work to elect Obama in the coming primaries throughout the country. I look forward to building this grassroots movement to elect progressive Democrats for President, US Congress, Governor of California, State Assembly and Senate, all local elections, etc. and take back this country!!!
