CDP EBoard Meeting

It was wonderful seeing and talking with so many of you at the CDP EBoard meeting this weekend in Anaheim. Those who could not make it, we certainly missed you but had your best wishes in mind as we met both inside and outside the party to advance our mission of making the Democratic Party the true voice of the people.
Thanks to all who helped promote PDA while there, especially with our “Stop Funding War” stickers and flyers, in discussions both formal and informal on our “core issues”, and again especially with the work put forth to plan and execute the Progressive Caucus and the following Progressive Slate meetings. The presentations and the open discussions that followed were living testimonial that we are in fact speaking truth to power.
Also, I know many of us were involved in planning and promoting this weekend’s Presidential Accountability and Impeachment forums and we all appreciate those efforts.
Now, we are looking forward to advancing our efforts by getting a majority of delegates to the CDP Convention in April to be progressives, through the AD Delegate Selection Meetings in mid-January ( for further info please see www.progressiveslate.citymax.com ), to get as many of us as possible to attend the Mandate for Peace March and Lobby Day in Wash DC in late January, and finally to put together a strong PDA presence at the CDP Convention in San Diego in April.
We’ve had huge responses to our “Sign the Petition” campaign in support of McGovern H.R. 4232, so much so that many new contacts are being added daily to the National database, especially here in California, and if any are still in need of orienting to it’s use, please contact me or Sherry Bohlen ( sherry@pdamerica.org ) to get the information you need to use this tool to capture more contacts for your local PDA activities.
