ACTION BREAKOUT SESSIONS
-POVERTY COMMITTEE
Please join us for a meeting of the poverty committee
where we will discuss action items to prevent devastating
cuts to poverty programs in the 2008/2009 California
State budget.
We will discuss how members can be involved in current
actions to prevent these cuts. Please think about how
you would like to pressure your CA State elected officials
and join us in brainstorming new ideas and approaches to
preventing a budget that is balanced on the backs of
those living in poverty.

Those who are interested in Election Protection
please come with descriptions of what is happening
in your locales. How are your ROVs functioning, are
there obstacles to citizens viewing the counting of
the votes, are younger poll workers being recruited?

transparent and accurate counting of votes in
your county.

Those interested in the abolition of the Death Penalty
