Santa Rosa Memorial hospital has recently announced the layoffs of over 200 staff members, the closure of the Rehab Unit at Sotoyome, and closure of the last psych unit in Sonoma county-Fulton Campus.

On Thursday, March 13th a group of employees presented a petition with close to 800 employee and physician signatures to the CEO George Perez asking him to stop the layoffs and keep the acute rehab unit at Sotoyome and psych unit at Fulton open to the community. Their message: that there is certainly a better way to solve this problem.

SR Memorial Hospital employees and supporters are holding an informational picket on March 18th in front of the hospital. The public is invited. Now, more than ever the workers are in need of community support.
