Cotati Passes Resolution Calling on Congress to Begin Impeachment Investigations
On the night of July 9, 2008 the City Council of Cotati, CA approved a resolution which will be sent as a petition to Congress, requesting that Congress begin impeachment investigations regarding certain actions of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney.
The vote was 3-2 in favor of the resolution.
Kudos! to the City Council of Cotati for taking this appropriate action.
Kudos! to all the Cotati citizens who came forward to speak so eloquently and effectively at last night’s hearing.
And to all the PDA’ers and Resolution To Impeach Coalition members who collected petition signatures, made presentations to the City Council, submitted supporting documents, educated residents and City Council members alike and organized a wonderful turnout at last night’s hearing, etc. .... KUDOS!

Cotati City Council puts Impeachment on the Table!
June 25 – Cotati
The City Council of the little burg of Cotati voted 4-1 tonight to put the Resolution to Impeach on the agenda for action at an upcoming City Council meeting!!
Bravo Impeachers! GREAT TEAMWORK!
KUDOS to the Cotati City Council for appropriately acting on this request!
The petitions which will be submitted by the Resolution to Impeach Coalition at the upcoming City Council meeting, ask the City Council to pass a resolution which would be sent as a petition to Congress, requesting that Congress begin impeachment investigations of Bush and Cheney.
A Resolution to Impeach was passed by the Santa Rosa City Council in December of 2007 and entered into the Congressional Record. Such resolutions from cities are also sent to the appropriate congressional committee; in this case it would be sent to the House Judiciary Committee for action. There are currently over 90 cities which have passed similar resolutions

Let's Make Sonoma County an Impeachment County!
The effort to cause the City Council of Santa Rosa to pass a Resolution to Impeach was successful! The City of Santa Rosa Stood UP!
Sebastopol City Council has already passed a resolution for impeachment.
We still have 6 cities/towns in Sonoma County which have not been presented with petitions for a Resolution to Impeach.
Volunteers are actively gathering signatures in Cotati and Petaluma. Will you step up to help?
And if you live in: Healdsburg, Windsor, Cloverdale or Sonoma — will you step up to gather signatures and help to shepherd your resolution through the process of adoption by your city council?
